The finger prick and needle insertion typically effect only minor discomfort. Phlebotomists may, however, experience difficulties contained by obtaining satisfactory blood from some donors.

it depends on ur robustness status,of course.if u're already anemic,logically it'll affect ur health.u'll heart rate will go up,difficulty in breathing and you'll sweat.but,b4 u donates blood,there'll be a strength screening to make sure that u're medically qualified ample to donate blood.technically,yeah,u'll loose blood but it'll recover soon.save for that there's no disadvantage in donating blood,as far as today's medical technology is concern(like my hematology university lecturer said)..the disadvantages are more for the recipients.
