Is R.P.A.-C greater or less significant than an M.D relating to doctors?

I'm looking at a list of the other doctors within my gyno's office, adjectives of them are M.D's except mine, which is a R.P.A.-C... what does that mean?

Answers:    Yes, specifically a physicians assistant (also known as a mid-level practitioner). They are significantly trained (at a master's level) and can do many things a MD does. They habitually have more time to spend near a patient however. Next time you walk ask your PA about her schooling & training--we love to share.
It is smaller quantity than an MD - It means Registered Physician assistant - certified.
