Negated Effects?
Answer:
I hate to say this, because now days ppl dont think that way anymore, but i would suggest just abstaining. Look, you are gonna make your life so much easier by doing that. Condoms are not 100% safe against stds or pregnancy, the pill isnt 100% safe either like someone mentioned above. If he loves you truly he will support YOUR decision, since your health is involved. Sorry dont mean to preach, just think that its still the best way to go. Best wishes
Hi there,
Some birth control pills raise your blood pressure, that is probably why the other pill is prescribed. Normally, this pill does not interfere with the effects of yasmin. HOWEVER, the does of yasmin may not be adequate to prevent pregnancy. So please have a chat to your doctor about your plans and ask his/her advice. Morning after pill works based on the same hormones as yasmin. So it is not a good idea to use both. Not only one may null the other but it may mess up your hormonal system terribly.
My advice is that before you have sex, go see your doctor about yasmin. In addition have your boyfriend checked out for sexually transmitted diseases, no condom means no protection from STD's..
I take birth control....my boyfriend and I also agreed not to use a condom (stupid idea)...guys usually say that it doesnt feel the same and what not and convince us that we dont need a condom. Yet, they put all the responsiblity on us to remember to take the pill everyday. Taking birth control isnt 100% safe..Im pregnant, I would know. Sometimes you wont know you are pregnant until its too late. Just my opinion from experience. I think that if you guys are mature enough then he should also take some responsiblity, you know?
Go have a discussion with your doctor. They do not have to consult your parents about any of this so its safe to talk to him/her. Your doctor will be able to go over all the options you have. Also unless you are BOTH virgins and you can trust he isnt lying to you just to get into your pants, the condom is a must. If he is refusing to use one it shows how little he values you and you should kick him to the curb.
The pill is 99.9% effective when used correctly. Your blood pressure medication should not alter the effectiveness of your Yasmin. Since you and your partner do not want to use condoms I urge you and your partner to get screened for STD's before having sex. Waiting a couple of weeks for the test results can save you from a lifetime of misery.
