Not sure what you're looking for, but you might try googling "cardiac physiology" and/or "cardiac anatomy" for starters. The problem here is that there's too much information, so you'll want narrower searches.
Call ur local hospital and ask if u can browse thier medical library to research the human heart for a university project.
Am not sure how much information you are looking for, but here is what I know.
The heart is a cone-shaped, muscular organ about the size of a fist. It is located between the lungs directly at the back the sternum (breastbone) and is tilted so that the apex (the pointed end) is oriented to the departed. The major portion of the heart, call the myocardium, consists largely of cardiac muscle tissue. The muscle fibers of the myocardium are branched and tightly joined to one another. The heart lies inside the pericardium, a thick, membranous sac that secrete a small quantity of lubricating gooey. The inner surface of the heart is lined next to endocardium, a membrane composed of connective tissue and endothelial tissue. The lining is continuous next to the endothelium lining of the blood vessel.
Internally, a wall called the septum seperates the heart into a right side and a moved out side. The heart has four chamber. The two upper, skeletal walled atria have wrinkled, protuding appendages call auricles. The two lower chambers are the glutinous walled ventricles which pump the blood.
The heart also has four valve, which direct the flow of blood and prevent its backward movement. The two valve that lie between the atria and the ventricles are call the atrioventricular valves. These valve are supported by strong fibrous strings called chordae tendineae. The chordae, which are attached to muscular projections of the ventricular walls, support the valve and prevent them from inverting when the heart contracts. The atrioventrcular valve on the right side is call the tricuspid valve because it have three flaps, or cusps. The valve on the disappeared side is called the bicuspid (or mitral) stopcock because it has two flaps. The remaining two valve are the semilunar valves, whose flaps resemble half-moons, between the ventricles and their attached vessel. The pulmonary semilunar valve lies between the right ventricle and the pulmonary trunk. The aortic semilunar tap lies between the left ventricle and the aorta.
