If a medicatoion is ancient the expiration date is it secure to nick?

I am running a fever of 100.5 F. I know its not to large, but would like to appropriate some medication before it does win to high. But here's the problem, adjectives I have is expired Tylenol, no mode to get any more, will this product the fever worse or will it assist me?

I have taken 5 year hoary meds with no complications but the drug companies bring up to date everyone to FLUSH all frail meds so they can make a profit again .
