Wow great request for information! I don't have an answer but I hold always have a problem with this! People don't take when I try to explain to them that I can't "see" things in my mind.

For example - If I sit down and try to draw something I enjoy seen every light of day constantly like my cat, I cannot see what it looks similar to to draw it - everyone laughs but I really can't get an carving to come to mind!! However if I have a picture or the actual cat within front of me I can draw it very powerfully! Take the picture away and once again I can't see it!

That is just one example but it's similar to that with adjectives things, I can have "ideas" of things, but I give attention to in words with the sole purpose, can't seem to gross any images form contained by my mind...
