When self contained by a coma when does the body start to backfire?

A friend has be in a coma for three days and all the same hasn't come out. Will he lose any functions of the body talking, walking etc..

Answer:
A coma usually does not final for more than a few weeks. Many people rest their full physical and mental functioning when they emerge from a coma. Others require various forms of treatment to recover as much functioning as possible. Some patients never recuperate anything but very elemental body functions.

Sometimes, following a coma, a person may enter what is agreed as a persistent vegetative state; patients contained by persistent vegetative state own lost all cognitive neurological function but are still competent to breathe and may exhibit various spontaneous movements. They may even be awake and appear to be regular but, because the cognitive part of their brain no longer functions, they are not competent to respond to their environment. A vegetative state can last for years.
