Why couldn't I pass ample blood?
I'm a healthy 5'9 mannish weighing at 70kg so I should own the volume and pressure to fill 470ml (I'm 24 btw). I get to 410ml instead. This was my second time as a donor, but they have the same problem later time ... blood flow was sluggish.
Two question:
1) Should I give blood again? It's not man used to save lives.
2) How do I increase my blood volume?
Answers: It could be your capillary went into spasm - I have a similar incident happen to me, I wasn't giving blood but simply going for a blood oral exam and the blood just would not come out. Eventually they have to use my other arm....this was the judgment given to me by the nurse.
You could, if you want to continue giving blood, verbs but explain to them next time what happen previously and ask if it would be possible for them to take blood from your other arm.
if you are desiccated the blood is slow. try drinking lots of water and individual really hydrated it makes it so much easier for the collector.
