basically what K said, except tons hospitals assign a team to treaty with main traumas and codes. If you just bestow it to whoever is not busy you are gambling next to what staff will show up. The page is to pull the squad from whatever they are doing and bring them to business deal with the trauma, as in good health as alert the trauma surgeon, who has to be on site as one of the requirements to be a height 1 trauma center.
That there is a plane 1 trauma coming into their emergency room in 9 minutes. Basically...

The other answers are both pretty much right, but I just thought I'd supply that "level 1" imply serious injuries. Though the criteria can vary slightly from place to place, it usually includes anyone who is hypotensive near systolic blood pressure below 90 (the top number in blood pressure), anyone who is comatose, anyone who was thrown from a vehicle, involved within a crash with fatalities, a drop from 20 feet or highly developed, multiple organ systems injured, etc.
The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma certifies hospitals as mixed levels for trauma watchfulness based on the resources available. As another answerer said, in attendance must be a trauma surgeon in house at adjectives times. Additionally, other types of specialists have to be at hand at all times, as okay, including a neurosurgeon, an orthopedic surgeon, an anesthesia team, etc. Every Level 1 trauma center I've worked contained by has a specific trauma troop that responds - it's not just everyone who's available.
