How much dentistry do medical doctors know?

Answers:
They know a lot just about dentistry but they will refer you to a specialist, in this crust a dentist.

Most doctors are pathologists. What this means is that they enjoy a good common knowledge of pathology. However, surrounded by cases where they are unsure what is cause your ailment, they will refer to a specialist in that pen.
Not alot i would of thought, Doctors need to swot about the together body where as Dentists just need to revise about the mouth. Doctors do their nut if you stir to them with a dental related problem,IE an abscess and purely tell you to move about and see your dentist.
dentists specialise in the mouth turn to them for dentistry- if your problem is elsewhere go to a GP if you know it desires specialist help be it ent, ob/gyn or doesn`t matter what go to the specialist
i doubt if they know much at adjectives other than how to identify an infection surrounded by the mouth and jaw, etc,
MBBS, Just for a while. In the preclinics dental anatomy is just a page. Usually nearby is a 2 wks dentistry clinical posting, which most would bunk. In ENT and surgery medical doctors learn something ralated to dent..approaching maxillary fractures.adamantinomas (tumors with relation to gums) etc..
not much. they know what a tooth is.. and the simple stuff after they finish med institution. after a few years, they probably know nothing almost teeth. they are medical doctors. there are dentists to treaty with teeth. Although. specialists (MDs) don't know much almost stuff outside their specialty either. a surgeon doesn't know much roughly speaking oncology. but they sure are good at surgery. and an oncologist doesn't know much (if anything at all) roughly speaking surgery. but they are very flawless at cancers.
Not greatly. GP's are just that "General " Practioners. In depth expertise in any medical/dental enclosed space requires reference to the appropriate specialist.
powerfully doctors dont need to know dentistry contained by depth, all they really call for to know is how to recognise a dental problem and who to send them too..its close to trying to compare a physics teacher to a biology professor.there both science teacher but they have their own paddock.besides as someone said earlier doctors agreement with a much bigger collection of problems and therefore of late out of medical school they enjoy a level of knowhow in adjectives aspects of the body, after which they will eventually specialise in a chosen pasture.
enough to know that your problem is a concern of a dentist..
