When you do your clinical rotations, you discover what interests you. You will find doctors that think close to you do, laugh at indistinguishable things, and are interested in matching things. You will find patients and procedures that attract your attention. Then you 'll know what you want to do.
I went into medical arts school wanting to be a family practitioner or pediatrician. I am an anesthesiologist. There is NO WAY I could do FP or peds. You own to try it to know that, though.
There are a few other specialties I could see myself doing - OB, emergency, or surgery. (I had too masses family responsibilities to allot my life to surgery)
Trust me, you'll discover what areas you close to, and where you fit surrounded by.

Some people graduate still not knowing and consequently do a rotating intership for a year. Others go into a specialty and find out it is not for them so they do a second residency.
