How does Plan B work?
Answers:
Contrary to what some ethnic group believe, emergency contraception pills do not cause an abortion. They prevent ovulation or fertilization, purely like a birth control pill does.
Emergency contraception hormones prevent fertilization by stopping the ovary from releasing an egg (ovum). They also build the fallopian tubes less expected to move an egg toward the uterus. Emergency contraception is also thought to thin the bin liner of the uterus, or endometrium. The thickened endometrium is where on earth a fertilized egg would normally surround and grow.

Emergency contraception is used after unprotected sex to prevent a pregnancy from starting. It is most effectual when it is used as soon as possible after intercourse. It is not necessary to run a pregnancy test past using emergency contraception.
Some of the other postings seem to be confusing Plan B near Methotrexate.
Methotrexate (MTX) for Early Abortion
Methotrexate (MTX) is a chemotherapy agent that has be used for many years surrounded by the treatment of cancer because it affects cells that are speedily dividing. In a Methotrexate (MTX) Abortion, it stops embryonic cells from dividing and multiplying and is a non-surgical method of climax pregnancy in its untimely stages.Within a few days or weeks of receing an injection of Methotrexate (MTX) at the clinic the, the pregnancy ends through an experience similar to an early miscarriage
Methotrexate is a FDA approved drug, but is not labeled for use within the termination of pregnancy. It has be successfully used since 1982 in a single dose to treat ectopic (tubal) pregnancies (where the fertilized egg is deep-rooted in the fallopian tube instead of the uterus).
Exactly. Another excuse for whore's to murder their baby.
if plan A doesn't. plan B steps up and give it a try
The abortion pill will remove an already implanted egg.
You're right. I's abortive, not preventive. But to many inhabitants, it is preventive because you are not going to give birth and they perceive that it is not a child until a month or so. The aftermorning pill is a really just a elevated dose of birth control. It may make you throw up.
If the egg and sperm own not met it prevents the two from meeting. If so, it keep the two from attatching. I dont understand how society claim this is abortion? If so then is birth control abortive? Maybe I dont know plenty about the subject but from my command it prevents conception. If the fertilized egg is already attatched then your pregnant and will enjoy a baby.
Plan B works resembling other birth control pills to prevent pregnancy. Plan B acts primarily by stopping the release of an egg from the ovary (ovulation). It may prevent the association of sperm and egg (fertilization). If fertilization does occur, Plan B may prevent a fertilized egg from attaching to the womb (implantation). If a fertilized egg is implanted prior to taking Plan B, Plan B will not work.
The Morning After Pill releases a massive dose of birth control hormones into your system that cause (a) an unfertilized egg from being fertilized, or (b) a only just fertilized egg from staying attached to your uterus lining. It sheds the inside layer, just resembling when you have your extent.
