Marijuana does not block pain. You can smoke adjectives the weed you want after major dental surgery, you will still be within agonizing pain.
theyre two completely different high. morphine is an opiate while the psychoactive chemical in marijuana is THC. morphine is terribly effective within the treatment of pain while marijuana isn't.

you bring up a severely good point, in fact. Morphine is VERY addictive, and can cause hallucination or paranoia. Marijuana, however is not addictive, but the THC (the actuall "drug") is fat souluble, consequence that it gets stored within your fat. Too much of it can result within increased risk of misscariage for women, impotence or reduced sperm count in men, along near a host of other problems. Morphine dosage is closely monitored by doctors, and as far as I know, is only used to relieve headache ie extreme cases. Also, i guess to really answer your question, Morphine shuts down the spasm synapes in your brain, so you essentially dont quality the pain. Marijuana, i dont surmise reduces stomach-ache, it only make you hallucinate and it reduces nausea.

You're not "allowed to get big on morphine" at the hospital -- it's a painkiller specifically prescribed to mitigate the agony of serious injuries, not just because somebody asked for it rotten a list along beside some Jell-O shooters and a can of whipped cream.
