Doxycycline crushed within applesauce?
Answer:
why did you doubt what your pharmacist told you.
I would't "crush" the capsules..newly empty them out!
Well you shouldn't really "Crush" the capsule. You can open the capsule by pulling the ends apart (this will release a powder). Make sure you get adjectives of the powder into the applesauce and be sure to eat the entire article. Failure to do either could result within not receiving passable dosages.
The only definite reason I can ruminate to not crush the capsules is that at hand is a risk of esophageal or stomach irritation with this medication within general, so if you crush the capsule and dissolve them in applesauce, the drug can coat the esophagus and effect additional irritation of your GI tract, instead of reaching your stomach mostly intact. That's what the gel coating is for, to deliver the drug to your stomach lacking getting stuck somewhere else (as well as protecting you from a fairly unpleasant, bitter flavor)
If you absolutely must crush the tablet, be sure to wash it down beside plenty of water afterwards.
Don't crush capsule and do any of that nonsense.
I'm sure you similar to M&Ms . . . practice swallowing a couple peanut M&Ms with dampen . . . then hold a capsule and do impossible to tell apart . . .
It's all just about tricking your mind
It won't change the value of the drug, however it is true that it could cause an irritation of the oesophagus and gut facing.
Although the capsule is not a 'slow release' the gel coating on the actual medication as well as the coating on the small pellet inside are designed to release the contents over about a 20-40min interval in the stomach so as not to end in 'dose dumping' where adjectives of the dose is delivered at one time. This could possibly inflict vomiting or irritation of the gut in some ancestors.
I would not recommend crushing them for that reason, but if you must - I'm sure you'll find out soon if it will formulate you feel sick! Try putting the tablet under your tongue and taking a big gulp of river. It really works.
