An MD and DO are pretty much the same, although an MD go to medical school and a DO go to osteopathy school.

Osteopathic schools today solitary teach manipulation as an elective and most OD don't even know how to do it. And still most MDs don't consider DOs their equal even if they own the exact same schooling.
