How do I adjust the pressure of the seek queue for (rat) isoflurane anesthesia?

We have have problems with surgery .... rats are too desk light when put in a stereotaxic apparatus, even below 4-5% isoflurane. We think the nosecone adapter is allowing the rummage line to collect the isoflurane/O2 mix since the rat receives it adjectives. The animal is obviously beneath anesthesia, but remains far too reactive for our procedure. Any advice beside parts that we could add (we own the scavenge file running to the activated charcoal box), or if this really sounds approaching the problem, would be greatly appreciated.

Answers:    You'd have to be more descriptive beside what your setup looks like. Is it a circle system or a Mapleson setup?
