Everyone has both blue and red blood.

Red blood is blood that have been only just oxygenated, therefore, it have just vanished the heart and travels to the rest of the body.

Blue blood has traveled through the body and is making its approach back up to the heart to gain more oxygen at the lungs.

Blood is both blue and red. Fully oxygenated blood (coming from the lungs) is red, while oxygen depleted blood (headed wager on to the lungs) is blue. Blood from a wound is always red because it have come in contact beside oxygen in the upper air.

Perhaps you are confused about the clich¨¦ "blue-blood" when people of royalty are referred to. Looking at the vein from the outside they appear to be blue. Same thing when looking at the the deep. The ocean hose down is as clear as water coming from your kitchen sink. Although it appears to be blue.

It is NEVER blue. As stated already, the blue to purple hue of our veins through our skin is due to the approach light is refracted. The blood itself is merely a dark red when it deoxygenated.

Please, people, stop perpetuate the myth that blood is blue!
Don't listen to any miss led citizens who believe in the myth that blood turns blue when it is de-oxygenated contained by the veins. Blood is red due to the heme component within the hemoglobin molecule. The intensity of the red color changes as oxygen saturation increases within the blood. I work in a hospital lab where on earth I have drawn thousands of patients blood sample from veins. I own even drawn blood directly into anaerobic blood culture bottles where in attendance is no oxygen present. In every case the blood is red.
