Pharmacist or Doctor ?

Well I am a pharmacist - so I say pharmacist! But really depends on what is is for! If its serious afterwards a doctor - as they have adjectives the tests available to diagnose you properly and prescribe appropriate medicine; but if it is minor then your pharmacist can assist you out with dutiful advice and will agree to you know if you need to see a doctor anyway. Plus we dont charge for a consultation!
Doctors exist to oblige patients deal beside and treat illnesses.
Pharmacists exist to carry out the prescription written by doctors so that patients can own the proper medicines within the proper dosages.
What exactly are you asking?
uncertain what you anticipate, I'd rather be a doctor because you return with free respect for not much more work.
Pharmacist
All you do is tell doctors what drugs to use, and you gain paid a hell of seriously. Also, you only own to do 6 years of school.
Pharmacist. The insurance alone for a doctor is horrible. Plus, nearby is more of an opportunity for free time working in the pharmacy. The remuneration should be relatively close, and not as much school debt. My husband certainly chose to be a physicians assistant. He makes obedient money, and only took in the order of 14 months of extra schooling. Hope that helps!

It really depends on what your motivations are. I infer you need to ask yourself a few question.
1. Do you enjoy working near patients?
MDs/DOs work directly with pts on a on a daily basis basis. This have its benefits and liabilities-- it feels really correct when you see someone who came surrounded by really sick leave bc of something you did, it feel really bad when you see that morbidly obese diabetic hypertensive who refuse to quit the McDonalds diet *or* take their meds.
2. What type lifestyle do you want? On the complete, pharmacists esp in retail will enjoy the more 9-5 lifestyle
3.What does autonomy mean to you?-- Many MD/DOs wont confess it but part of the aim we go into tablets is bc we like self our own boss. While as an MD you have to work in the parameters of the hospital, you are essentially working for and by yourself . Although consultation beside collegues is quite adjectives, all decision in tolerant care are ultimately yours to make-- but along near that comes huge responsibility and liability. I sometimes feel spiteful of the PharmDs when they call and tip off you about a drug interaction/contraindication-- their undertaking is done, they dont have ot consider the concequences of continuing that drug even if it really might be the best choice for that merciful.
3. How much money do you want to make? On and hour for hour, #of years of coaching, pharmacists have a better concordat. as little as 6y of school (8y at most), 9-5h. In unqualified terms, MDs will put together more $ (~100k vs ~150k for MDs)
4. How much does respect mean to you? MDs do bring a lot of respect. While mostly a fringe benefit, it is helpful of cool that people respect prescription so much, I imagine within is respect for PharmDs but to a lesser point.

The thing I resembling about mortal a pharmacist, is that when my day is done, it's done. I don't lift any work home with me. I don't hold people calling me at home adjectives the time or on my days off. And we gain plenty of respect, we really do. A lot of my customers tell me, we know more than their doctors do. Although, I'm not really sure just about that, (all the time), it's nice of them to think so.
Also, year after year, Pharmacists are voted the #1 most respected profession. That's ahead of Doctors and the Clergy.
