I believe you mean, Metformin. It is a medication that is used to control the blood sugar, when your body have a problem processing blood sugar, sometimes a precurser to diabetes (but not always).
I take it because my body does not process blood sugar resourcefully, so I'm on it. My doctor warned of the possibiity of developing diabetes so I am trying to work on getting my diet better (less processed foods, no "white carbs" - devour unprocessed foods like unharmed wheat bread, brown rice, etc) and working out more to lose some weight. If I can achieve things in procession better then I don`t know I can get sour the meds.
I've not side effects but everyone is different. I would say from my experience, you own nothing to verbs about.
