Why skulk for a disability or disease?

I am in favor of using genetic engineering within diagnosis and treatment of diseases. But none should be allowed to patent genes. Code of nouns must be strictly formulated.
Thinking of a more interesting approach to your question,resembling;
A modification in the DNA structure for biological flexibility in other environmentally speaking scenario?would you dare?
However;The perceptible answer to your question is yes
The Human Genome Project (HGP) be an international 13-year effort formally begin in October 1990 to discover adjectives the estimated 30,000-40,000 human genes and make them accessible for further biological study. Another project purpose was to determine the complete sequence of the 3 billion DNA subunits (bases contained by the human genome). As part of the HGP, parallel studies hold been carried out on elected model organisms such as the bacterium E. coli to help develop the technology and interpret human gene function. The DOE Human Genome Program and the NIH National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) together made up the U.S. Human Genome Project. JGI's endeavour in this high point project went toward sequencing human chromosomes 5, 16, and 19.

I one-sidedly believe if you have any opportunity to add to human quality of time you should do so (without cost to other creatures on this planet). If you're interested you should also research the HapMap project. It is basically the project specifically mapping phenotypic traits to genes. Really interesting stuff.
