The difference between Epinephrine and Norepinephrine?
Answer:
For the difference contained by effect, it is not so much the chemical but the receptor it binds to. Both can bind to several types of receptors, for example both can bind to alpha receptors (alpha-1 and alpha-2). The effects are different, but in common, it causes constriction of the vessel walls. They can bind to beta receptors too (beta-1 and beta-2). These effects are different too. Beta one cause increased heart rate, increased force of cardiac contractions, increased irritability of the heart, etc. Beta-2 can cause bronchodilatation, it is also found within the walls of the blood vessels of muscles where on earth it causes vasodilation.
In nonspecific, epinephrine is released by the adrenal gland, but both also work as neurotransmitters and are released by several different types of nerve for tons reasons. In common, they are found in the sympathetic on edge system, but they are present elsewhere as well.
