Post Surgery umbilical hernia repair?

I had a laparoscopic hernia repair 3 weeks ago. I enjoy had a difficult taking back with complications due to vomiting and a drop off in blood pressure when standing. Slowly improving but now I enjoy severe swelling in my legs and ankles and my tummy where the surgery be performed - the surgeon told me that the "space" moved out where the hernia be would fill near fluid - but this does not seem to be going down.

Has anyone else experienced this.

My GP have told me to increase my protein and has prescribed diuretic (Water) pills which dont give the impression of being to be bringing the water rentention down.

Im in truth beginning to wonder if the surgery be worth all the problems i enjoy had since...

Any proposal would be greatly appreciated ...

Thank you

Answer:
Your doctor is correct in motto that a low albumin level will effect swelling of your legs and abdomen. However, your albumin smooth is not a marker of how much protein is within your body and will not increase if you increase the amount of protein you have contained by your diet. A low albumin is normally an indicator of chronic ailment or infection or liver disease. The diuretics may also worsen these low blood pressure episodes.

If I was you I would rest, guzzle normally and hope another medical opinion if things do not upgrade. I would agree that the surgery did not really seam worth it.
Eeek hun you need to conceivably get a second inference and get re admit maybe. I have the same surgery and i have 0 complications.went vastly smooth occasionaly i might get a tummy jar but thats normal. Maybe its different within women im not sure...but get go and get check out just to be sheltered.
you need to stir back to your surgeon
Just a few words. You may want to check surrounded by with a doctor to be locked and ask he or her if it should take this long. Hernias go and get worse over time and are harder to repair the longer you wait so you did the right article. Complications for surgeries like this are bloody but if present normally can be fixed though other procedures but you should be fine. If you did not hold this surgery no good would enjoy come from that.

I hope you get better which you should. I do not know a full lot about this procedure and I enjoy never had a hernia. Take guardianship.
i sympathize with you, but i believe from what you mentioned you hold not given full information. it seems you hold or may be having underlying problem approaching Hypertension or check your kidneys also. its best to get full medical check up because hernia never cause fluid retention or generalized body edema(swelling). i suggest you consult a physician for better management.draw from well soon.
