What can a pediatrician do?

After finishing medical school and residency, what are the option for a pediatrician (not specialized)? I know you can join a private/group practice...but what are some other option.

What does a pediatrician who works in the hospital do? Are these job widely available?

What are teaching employment? How much do these get salaried?

Please describe in detail or move a site where I can find information. The singular thing you ever hear of is private practice...I know in attendance are other opportunities out in attendance also. I want to have a programme that is somewhat familial friendly. It seems hospitalists enjoy that.

Answer:
Hospitalists are a growing trend. Pediatric specialties include neonatology, gastroenterology, nephrology, cardiology, endocrinology, infectious diseases, neurology, allergy-immunology, pulmonology, emergency medicine, developmental disorders, etc., plus several allied disciplines such as human inheritance, rehabilitation medicine, radiology, dermatology and psychiatry.

You can do research contained by any of the above fields, train, work in out-patient clinics, etc. Getting a PhD or MPH help. Don't disparage private practice so early contained by your medical career. Remember, pediatrics starts as a doctor - parent relationship, next matures into a doctor - lenient relationship. It's far from the highest paying specialty but it have its special rewards and of course, its special frustrations.
If you are smart adequate for medical school later you should be smart enough to collaborate to your professors and get this info or do research on your own.
I don't have a sneaking suspicion that byedr.com is the right place to get this info.
Fellowship and specialize, thats where on earth the money and prestige is. If you teach at the University smooth, you'll probably also need a pHD, unless you want to be an nouns.
Pediatric cardiology, nephrology, neurology, pediatric intensivist are some areas to look into.
You may not even go into Pediatrics when you are done beside medical school. I'm serious. The majority of students find something that they love during the 3rd year while on rotations. Good luck contained by school!
