In some cultures, the population could easily completion up with road too many males as compared to females.
It is unlikely such cultures will select for womanly offspring.
While this might be an benefit for the females when it comes time to select mates, I can verbs a lot of social and other problems for any society which have a large surplus of males.
benefit... you can plan names/clothes, toys etc.
disadvantage..cant think of any!
i dont gain the ppl that wait till the babys born..oh very well.
