scans are more detailed with a higher resolution for a better Dx or repeated scans. Faster computers have helped innovate this.
Da Vinci Robotics - assistance and or manipulation of surgical instruments in the O/R via a robot.

I don't know if this is what you're looking for but I'd suggest the Pyxis system. It's basically a drug vending machine used at nurse's stations in hospitals. It keeps the drugs secure and accounted for. They have a website, just google "pyxis". It's way faster and more secure than the old med carts. (I'm a pharmacy student.)
Here's one you probably haven't thought about...but insurance billing. All of it is done online and instead of taking weeks to sort it out, it takes minutes (excluding a problem of course...then it's still weeks ;) ).
