Answers: I had gastric bypass May of 2005 I lost 130 lbs I have major sleep apnea and I be pre diabetic at 25 years old. Insurance does not freshly automatically cover you. There are several steps that you have to run before they will approve you. And several steps formerly a surgon will approve you. Several steps before your psychologist will approve you. My insurance company required I show years of Doctor assisted Weight loss programs. But I have it all I be an optimal canidate and was approved beside out hesitation. Good luck it is the hardest article you will ever go through surrounded by your life and it is alot of work. Oh and if you enjoy not signed up with obesityhelp.com you should it have alot of helpful info.
I didn't own the bypass, but I did have the gastric waistband which is smaller number painful and reversible. Insurance, at most minuscule in my country, did not cover it because a) I didn't own any at the time and b) It was considered (back afterwards about 3 years ago) it wasn't considered to be for condition reasons, more for looking honest. I don't regret it however, because since I've had it I own lost about 90 pounds and I'm still losing mass.
There are days when you can't swallow solids, but most of the time you can eat merely about anything except for red meat because if it's not properly cooked it may too rugged.
Anyway, it has totally changed my existence, but that's just me.
My cousin did enjoy the bypass and the weight loss is faster but it take a toll on your body and it is nonreversible.
You decide what is the best for you, but my counsel is to go for the lapband (that's the medical dub for it). Trust me, it will hurt from time to time, but it will definitely be worth it.
Good luck, my friend.
