I know i want to work in a hospital.
Could you plz. tell me about some of the options i have

Answer:
It's about your passion rather than anything else. Once you finish you medical school you would have an idea:)
Probably general practicioner.
Normal people, normal sicknesses.
You could be a pediatritian (kids)
or only work with anesticia (if thats how you spell it)
or you could have an specialization on some type of procedure, open heart, brain cirgury and all that stuff, it kind of depends on what are your really into.
well done you fix a goal go ahead& keep succes
There are more than 60 specialties - each is unique but there are many characteristics which are common. You will need to work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team in virtually every specialty. Some require particular skills, such as an ability to make decisions in life-threatening situations or confidence with computers. Many require an interest in teaching or research and some require particular manual dexterity.

Medical specialties broadly fall into one of the following categories.

# Anaesthetics

# General practice

# Medicine

# Obstetrics and Gynaecology

# Ophthalmology

# Paediatrics

# Pathology

# Psychiatry

# Radiology

# Surgery (Including Dental Surgery)

1. podiatrist (feet)
2. urologist (bladder/urine)
3. nephrologist (kidney)
4. dermatology (skin)
5. cardiologists (heart)
6. maxillofacialist (jaws, mouth, face)
7. endocrinologist (glands)
8. hematology (bloods)
9. thoracic (chest)
10. pulmonary (lungs)
11. gastroenterologist (digestive)
12. proctologist (colon)
13. otology (ear)
14. ophthalmologist (eyes)
15. Otolarynologist (ear, nose, throat)
16. rhinolgist (nose)
17. psychiatry (mental)
18. orthopedic (bones, joints)
19. rheumatology (arthritis)
20. gynecology (female reproductive system)
21. neonatology (newborns)
22. pediatrician (children)
23. obstetrician (Childbirth)
24. oncologist (cancer)
25. neurologist (nervous system)

Good Luck=)
It all depends on your interest and what kind of hours you want to work.
if u want to work in a hospital u can do nursing and then marry a doctor. if u want to be a doctor u must do a long coarse (6 years)and want to work only in hospitals then u must specialize (another 4 years) and become an ANESTHESIOLOGIST and in my experience woman make better anesthesiologists than men (for lots of reasons).,but if u want to talk a lot to your patients don't do anesthesiology because your patients sleep most of the time
Get into medical school first.Once you do,see what interests you the most and go for it.
There is absolutely NO reason to even consider what specialty you might be interested in until your third year of medical school. You can guess what you might like, but until you are "in the trenches", doing the work, you have no idea what you're meant to do.

Concentrate on getting good grades, learning about science, and working toward medical school.

You don't actually train for a specialty until AFTER you graduate from medical school, which I imagine is quite a long way off for you.

You might also change your mind about working in a hospital once you spend years of residency pretty much living in one.

Good luck!
I want to be a doctor to ( a pediatrician, but it's not for everyone!) are you sure you want to work in an actual hospital?...
i'm studying to be a medical assistant, and I'm not sure if you know what kaiser is.. but that's the closest thing to a hospital that i know even though it doesn't count as one.. Medical assiting is a GREAT place to start to make sure you know what you're getting into.. let me know if you have any questions i'll be happy to answer them :)
