Answer:
Montelukast is used to prevent difficulty breathing, chest tightness, wheezing and coughing caused by asthma. Montelukast is also used to prevent bronchospasm (breathing difficulties) during exercise. Montelukast is also used to treat the symptoms of seasonal (occurs only at certain times of the year), and perennial (occurs all year round) allergic rhinitis (a condition associated with sneezing and stuffy, runny or itchy nose). Montelukast is in a class of medications called leukotriene receptor antagonists (LTRAs). It works by blocking the action of substances in the body that cause the symptoms of asthma and allergic rhinitis.
The combination of fluticasone and salmeterol is used to prevent wheezing, shortness of breath, and breathing difficulties caused by asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD; a group of lung diseases that includes chronic bronchitis and emphysema). Fluticasone is in a class of medications called steroids. It works by reducing swelling in the airways. Salmeterol is in a class of medications called long-acting beta-agonists (LABAs). It works by relaxing and opening air passages in the lungs, making it easier to breathe.
Some side effects of Advair can be serious. If you experience any of the following side effects, call your doctor immediately:
* coughing, wheezing, or chest tightness that begins soon after you inhale fluticasone and salmeterol
* hives
* rash
* swelling of the face, throat, tongue, lips, hands, feet, ankles, or lower legs
* choking or difficulty swallowing
* hoarseness
* noisy, high-pitched breathing
* pounding fast, or irregular heartbeat
* fainting
* chest pain
* cough
* burning or tingling in the hands or feet
* blurred vision
* white patches in the mouth
* fever, chills, and other signs of infection
Please see the web pages for more details on Montelukast (generic name) Singulair (brand name) and Fluticasone and Salmeterol (generic name) Advair (brand name).
Some times they happen right away and some times you've been on the meds for quite awhile before it builds up enough to causes a problem Depends on the person.
I scanned the prescribing information for Advair diskus.

Irregular heartbeats can occur form pretty much ANY asthma medication that contains sypathomimetic amines (compounds that act like adrenalin). That would happen fairly soon after starting the drug, I would think.

Seizures are listed only as a sign of overdose. Uncommon neurologic symptoms included headache and tremor.

Advair contains a steroid, so if you're on it, you can't just quit taking it suddenly. If you are having problems with the drug, contact your doctor for advice.

Hope that helps.
Go ask a doctor. It's the best thing to do rather than asking it here.
Someone in my family took Singulair for couple of years, and didn't suffer any adverse effects. Was also given quite temporarily Advair at hospital, and that was OK as well. Being in the habit of reading all precautions, possible side effects of any and all meds, and interaction with other med, etc., I don't recall reading something mentioned about sezuires. Still, if you've experienced one, even if you don't think it related to any new medication, PLEASE, tell your doctor immediatedly.
