Hospital consultants?

Is it easy to seize from SHO level to consultancy? I can envisage a lot of doctors human being stuck as a SHO for years.

it is not easy ..near is the registrar level up to that time that which can take lots of years back becomming a consultant.
It has become more difficult presently to find training posts with the Modernising Medical Careers change.
Registrar training schemes are from 4 years long plus research as you would expect. You may find there are no locally available consultant posts when you finish your hatch up, and you will probably need to be prepared to move away from your current location.

It is unproblematic if you are a UK graduate, with the fresh system it is quite difficult to find a training number. From July 2007 with the start of the clean training program, the UK system will be similar to the European training scheme. It will be clear for trainees to know which hospitals they will spend adjectives their training till it is finished
When you reach the position of registrar you are at hand for many years in the past you step up to consultant. That's generally agreed and in my estimation the registrar is more near it than the consultant
