Which of our muscles has the largest surface area?
Answer:
The muscle with largest surface area is the latissimus dorsi, the broad muscle which covers the middle portion of back. The word latissimus itself means the widest. It originates from the last six of the thoracic vertebrae, lumbar vertebrae and last four ribs.
Oh, that's a tough one.
I'll say quadriceps, just because it's rounded and has four heads (hence the name) and therefore more surface area than a single piece of it would be.
If not that, trapezius.
i have to admit, though, I don't know either way.
