Is near a route to make available first aid to someone who have epileptic attack?
Answer:
DONT EVERY PUT SOMETHING IN THEIR MOUTHS, THAT IS AN OLD WIVES TALE. YOU COULD KILL THEM BY DOING THIS. They can and will bite something like a tongue depressor contained by half and choke on the pieces - thats a really really BAD suggestion. It is major to keep their airway clear.
When a requisition occurs, the biggest goal is to protect the personage from injury. Try to prevent a fall. Lay the entity on the ground in a undamaging area. Clear the nouns of furniture or other sharp objects.
Cushion the person's head.
Loosen tight clothing, especially around the person's collar.
Turn the person on his or her side. If vomiting occur, this helps create sure that the vomit is not inhaled into the lungs.
Look for a medical I.D. bracelet with appropriation instructions.
Stay with the creature until recovery or until you hold professional medical help. Meanwhile, monitor the person's central signs (pulse, rate of breathing).
DO NOT restrain the person.
DO NOT place anything between the person's teeth during a commandeering (including your fingers).
DO NOT move the person unless he or she is surrounded by danger or effective something hazardous.
DO NOT try to make the creature stop convulsing. He or she has no control over the spasm and is not aware of what is happening at the time.
DO NOT grant the person anything by mouth until the convulsions hold stopped and the person is fully awake and alert.
Call immeditately for first aid or medical assistance
Call 911 if:
This is the first time the creature has have a seizure.
A requisition lasts more than 2 to 5 minutes.
The entity does not awaken or have majority behavior after a seizure.
Another commandeering starts soon after a seizure ends.
The individual had a spasm in hose down.
The person is pregnant, injured, or have diabetes.
The person does not own a medical ID bracelet (instructions explaining what to do).
There is anything different about this fit compared to the person's usual seizures
When the individual is alert tell them what happen, many inhabitants are unaware that they are have seizures. Urge them to see a doctor or want medical attention. If the person is driving advocate them not to and call 911
the best piece to do is just net sure there is note around them they can bump into until the seizure is over. Also, citizens having seizure tend to vomit. If they do rool them on their side to prevent them from breating in the vomit.
keep hold of him from harms way turn on side telephone for help
I be always qualified that you should find something immediately and put it between their teeth so they dont literally bite their tongue stale. Books, tongue depressor, just becareful so it doesnt break sour and go down their throat and produce more of a problem.
Make sure they don't bit their tongue but DON't put your fingers in their mouth. They should be lying on their side and watch for breathing!
Turn them on their side. Move them away from harms way - speeding traffic, hose bodies, open fires, running machines etc. Don't try to restrain the convulsive movements.
Call for relieve.
Avoid forcing anything between the teeth. It is impossible when the person is already convulsing (unless you govern to break their teeth in the attempt) and pointless when the fit has stopped. No body really bites their tongue stale ; usually there are a few small cuts on the side that bleed a bit and heal contained by a few days. If someone has a premonition of the fit (called aura) it would be a flawless idea to clutch a folded handkerchief between the jaws previously the fit starts.
Never put anything in the mouth of a creature who is in the midst of a requisition (or at any time).
Not everyone has like peas in a pod type of seizures and not everyone comes out of them within the same posture.
Just try to clear the area of anything that they may come contained by to contact with. Let the requisition take its' course. Some empire get up and verbs on like nil happened, some won't even remember the requisition. If they remain prone afterwards try to get them contained by to the recovery position and hold an eye on them. If the person take medication post-seizure then you can assist them once they are conscious plenty to drink and take their meds. This would be the time to see if the entity has any injuries as a result of the fit and take appropriate steps.
Yes. The appropriate entry to do is to prevent injury (get the furniture out of the way, and that sort of thing), and don't mess beside the person. Trying to put something contained by his mouth does no good, and cause injuries. Trying to force him to be still can cause a shoulder dislocation. So, once a believable degree of safekeeping is assured, the right thing is one of my favorite medical maxim: DON'T JUST DO SOMETHING, STAND THERE!
Most seizures stop on their own contained by a couple of minutes, which can seem resembling hours to those not used to them. If a commandeering is prolonged, though, it becomes an emergency and it's time to telephone 911.
