Stem Cell Research?

I dont understand whats so impossible about using embryos for stem cell research. i anticipate, I am totally against abortion and all, but if the mother is going to do that, later why throw the baby away when it can be used for obedient?


Answers:    The primary argument is slippery slope: if you use discarded (in vitro fertility, abortion-related) embryos for stem-cells, it will eventually lead to change payments for abortions.

More generally, two wrongs don't brand name a right; discarding viable embryos is wrong, killing embryos to take home stem cells is wrong. Doing them both together doesn't spawn it right.

Note that I don't believe these things, but I understand that that's the argument.
That's why somatic stem cell research is so great... Everyone have a virtually endless supply of them.
