Can you drink drugs made for IV or IM use?

Is it possible to just drink drugs that would otherwise be administered via IV within a hospital? These drugs often come surrounded by an HCl solution or benzethonium chloride added as a preservative.

Answer:
IV and IM fluids are not meant to be swallowed, and are not formulated to withstand digestion. I can't meditate of many that would effect youdamage if you drank it...but can think of lots that it would newly cause to be ineffective.
why would you want to do that? Just drink some nyquil..
You probably could but would not want to.

Many drugs are inactivated by stomach sharp and/or digestive enzymes.

Als, absorption is timid, especially if a person is fragile or "sick".

IV drugs circumvent the stomach.
