Can someone check this anatomical argot?
Terms of relative position:
Anterior: surrounded by front of.
eg: the nose is anterior to the spine.
Posterior: aft.
eg: the spine is posterior to the nose.
Superior: on top / above.
eg: the trunk is superior to the knee.
Inferior: below / lower than.
eg: the knee is inferior to the trunk.
Proximal (limbs): Closer to the point of origin (trunk).
eg: the arm is proximal to the hand.
Distal: Further away from the point of origin (trunk).
eg: the hand are distal to the arm.
Medial: Closer to midline.
eg: the big toe is medial to the little toe.
Lateral: Further away from midline.
eg: the little toe is lateral to the big toe.
Superficial: Closer to the surface.
eg: the lips are superficial to the heart.
Deep: Further away from the surface.
eg: the heart is open to the lips.
Answers: Correct! Well done!
pretty much.
but your examples for superficial and open are kinda off.
the pericardium is superficial to the myocardium
the basalis layer is deeper to the epidermis
oh, the spine does not reach up to the stratum of the nose so that's not a dutiful example either.
You certainly got it however it's fairly weird or queer how you put things together...Try relating anatomical parts which are in reality in a specific nouns lets read aloud the aorta is anterior to the spinal column......try improving on it... to study anatomy you own to be visual.... to remember and have a handle on it....
