What do you think?
As long as I can remember I wanted to be a doctor. I still do but I am not sure if I will be missing out and passing my life up. I've done a lot of good but neglected myself and now I feel tired.
What do all of you think I should do? How can I start feeling like myself again? Thanks.
Answer:
I think it's great you've gone back to get your degree, and if you still want to be a doctor, go for it. You can still follow your dreams. That is where you'll find yourself again. And if you go for it, no matter what happens, at least you won't be left wondering "what if."

Sometimes stuff happens that can get you down and change your perspective on your life. Maybe your belief that life is going by too fast is a reflection on what you've recently experienced. Maybe you've dwelled a little too much on your own mortality because of your recent situation.
However, I do know that there are some professionals with literature or maybe a faith based professional can help. Maybe they can help you get a different more positive perspective. Local Library can help with self-help book recommendations.
If you are depressed then medical help is only a doctor’s visit away. Make an appointment and get some antidepressant medication. I really don't know why people don't do this. I had three deaths in my family in one year and it really helped me get back to myself again. I only took it for about 9 months.
You got at least two different careers in you if you want and maybe even three. Do what you want and enjoy your adventure. Some examples:
My friend was a West Coast concert pianist then a sheriff down south now a lawyer with a successful law practice in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
Another friend of mine was a Civil engineer with the US Army Corps of engineers is now 56 and became a successful chef with a local TV show and is currently thinking about becoming a writer and wants to be published “Science Fiction”.
My Dad's friend was a successful engineer then a doctor.
Your options can only be limitied if you make them that way. Anything is yours to do and you definitely have time to do it.
Good luck and have fun and excitement in your lifes adventure.
