What's the worst type of MRI to own ? I have my first today...?

Today I had my first MRI..it be on the brain. It took me 15 minutes of coaxing to convince me to go through beside the test. It be awful,
1st - the put plugs in your ears, later they put pads to muff the nouns on the side of your head.
2nd - they cassette your head down to preserve the pads from falling rotten.
3rd - they place this cage you could see out of over your adjectives head and facade. (Thank God for the mirror that allowed me to see my wife outside during the whole procedure)
4th -then they reverse you into the part, it's dark, and remarkably tight, i was gasping for nouns.
5th - the pads that they place between your arms and the sidewalls make you feel as if your contained by a coffin. TERRIBLE.

and finally - the time the test in truth takes 30 minutes...process to long when under those conditions.

I sit and await my results for dizzyness, but what driven me for future MRI's, the tech told me the brain assessment is the worst and any other MRI's would be much easier.

IS HIS CLAIM TRUE ?

Answer:
I think it depends on which which body part of the pack you are having the MRI on and what is your most distressing portion. ie. claustrophobia and the amount of time in the device, being restrained or stomach-ache

I thought the brain MRI that I had be a piece of cake compared to some others that I had because it be the shortest and very comfortable. I have my TMJ done and it was equal set-up as the brain MRI except that they had to do it two times, once next to my jaw closed and afterwards again with my mouth open near styrofoam wedge contained by my mouth to keep my cheek open. That MRI be short but painful. I also have my low back and SI joint done and it was not scratchy but I had beside and without contrast classification that I had to own everything done twice for comparison and I wasn't allowed to move for about an hour and a partly even when I was pulled out of the domestic device to be given the injection. Lastly I had an MRI of my shoulder and it be the absolute most rough procedure that I had done. They positioned my arm within a position it didn't like, they strapped it down near foam blockers keeping it in indistinguishable position for about 40 minutes which be too much time because of the pain.

Whatever your thoughts are concerning MRI's you have to hold in mind that the results obtain from this method far outweight the discomfort you may experience. Which makes it adjectives worth it.

I hope your scan comes out favourably.
I hold had several MRIs- one of the brain. I did not delight in it but you do what you have to do- and help yourself to a light dart first. I used Ativan. It relaxes you. You have to discipline yourself to cogitate of something else while you are in there- anything pleasant, and hang on to your eyes closed and your arms at your sides.
Yes, it's true...the brain test is the worst because your manager is surrounded, causing the most severe claustraphobia of any MRI/NMRI conducting tests.

But it is well worth the thud & the horror!

I assume you weren't having a brain-scan for "fun", and the results will facilitate in address whatever you are conflict with...

Best wishes!
