Is it alright to take your daily vitamins with Lexapro 10mg tablets each day?

My doctor started me on Lexapro 10mg tablets a day and I'm just wondering if it's okay to take my daily vitamins with the Lexapro.

Answer:
If you take regular multivitamins or multivitamins with iron, ginkgo or ginseng it's fine. There are no reported interactions. You should avoid valerian, St John's wort, SAMe, kava kava, and gotu kola (may increase central nervous system depression).
Yeah, it should be just fine, unless Lexapro is causing you digestive upset.
Ask your pharmacist or doctor.
Definitely ask your doctor. But usually, vitamins and minerals don't seem to interfere too badly with meds. Unless of course your vitamins have some sort of Energy additives or something else that may counter-act the Lexapro...? I'm no doc.I say call and ask them. :)
Lexapro and dietray supplements should not have any interactions. But ask your pharmacist, it might also depend on what type of dietary supplement (vitamin) you take as well.
