Answers: As a PA I enjoy to tell you respect, and concerned of what the position entails, vary from setting to setting widely. However, as one of Money Magazine's top 10 jobs finishing year, we're on our way. In broad I have not found any difference contained by respect vs. APRNs, except from nurses themselves...Jess, the best PA programs require medical experience. Having 15 years as a paramedic, I felt pretty comfortable beside my patient experience. And, within the majority of states and settings, APRNs cannot do more than PAs. However, I think that comment does solidify for me why in that continues to be often a considerable rift between the two professions. A shame.
