Internet order pharmacuticals?
Question Details:Pharmacy. Shouldnt americans have the right to purchase any and all types of prescription meds that are FDA approved? Does mexico have huge problems with the fact that their drugstores sell medications that our government considers "controlled " substance. What gives the usa government the right to "controll" our prescription drug usage? And Why do they get to tell us that we cant buy certain pills overseas.. because it breaks the law for importing illegal and controlled substances. Even though its maybe just a canadian type "222" remember the days when you could get "cherachol" cough syrup. Great for calming a bad sore coug.h. Anyways any insight on this issue? ***just a lil rant**

Very simple.
Fake purses do not kill people. Fake shoes do not kill people. Fake watch do not kill people. Fake DVD do not kill people.
Fake drugs, on the other hand, can kill people. There are plenty of medication made all over the world. Most are OK. However, there are a number of "medication" that are fake - they do not have the ingredients that they claim to have.
So, if you take a drug that does not have the ingredient that it is supposed to have, how is that drug going to help you? If you take it for pain and there is no pain medicine in it, you will still be in pain. However, if you take a drug that was supposed to prevent stroke, and it does not have any of that ingredient, you might get a stroke. Are you willing to take that chance?
Further, if it does not have the ingredient that supposed to be there, what exactly is in the pill? Various studies have shown that some horrible chemicals were found in those medication, from chemicals found in paint to toxic chemicals - the same one from China that killed all those dogs and cats. In fact, many of the fake drugs are from China, and China is notorious for toxic substances - there is major problem with "toxic" toothpaste made in China, toxic fishes from China, and don't forget the toxic pet food from China.
If you are willing to take a chance of either taking a useless drug or a dangerous drug, then you have every right to drive to Mexico to buy those medication. However, if someone wants to buy a medication in this country, they need to be sure that there is quality control - and that's what FDA does - they make sure the quality is there.
As for the controlled substance, too many people are addicted on those. Look at Lindsey Lohan. Look at Brittney Spears. Controlling what the population can take will help protect many of the people. Unfortunately, when you are rich and famous, you can get away with a lot. How would you like it if someone just walk into a pharmacy, get some medication that would get them drunk, go out and drive and crash into your car, hurting yourself and your friends?
