I am need give a hand beside young's rule.?

I have to do a example of young's rule using:
Child's age- 8
Adult dose- 250mg.
Child's dose-?
I own to find what the childs dose would be using Young's rule.
I think the answer is 31.25mg but I do not know how to win it using the rule... Could someone show me step by step how to get to it please.... Thank You

Answer:
tag on 12 to the child's age
12 + 8 = 20

divide the sum by the child's age
20/8 = 2.5

divide the adult dose by the integer obtained
250mg /2.5 = 100mg
I don't know what to be exact, but I searched it up. Click the links and I don`t know that should help. But phone a pharmacist to be on the safe side, you can't be too wary with a child's sanctuary.
formula is: child's age in years/child's age contained by years +12 x average adult dose

so that's 8/8+12 x 250 = 100 mg
