Can I buy more contact lenses if my prescription is somewhat outmoded but still valid?
Does that mean that I enjoy to go surrounded by for fittings every 8 months?
I guess I just don't realize whether you "use up" your prescription by ordering lenses or whether you can maintain ordering them as needed throughout the prescription length. It'd be great to be just be capable of order boxes surrounded by the quantity I in actual fact use them... better still to be able to voice "ok, I ran out of lenses, establish me another 6 months worth" up to the very sunshine when my prescription expires.
Anyone know how this works?

A prescription is good for one year - no situation how many lenses you dance through, but you may find that your insurance will only cover "a year's supply"

Also you may want to look into getting a different contact lens, because you are using a supply too with alacrity. Or you may want to see if you have a condition particular as Dry Eye Syndrome. You can use artificial tears with your contact lenses and see if this help with some of the discomfort your experiencing.(visine tears, re-acquaint yourself with tears, etc.) If the use of tears doesn't help you may want to contact you doctor in the order of the use of punctal plugs. This is a common procedure for severe dry eye sufferers. It's massively simple and painless. In fact I own had this done myself. They insert a "plug" into your lower opening duct to help your eye hold on to their fluent tears. You may also want to try Restasis(prescription required) if you don't want to try the plugs. Although I'm not sure you can use Restasis while wearing contact lenses.
