I agree with the first answerer, but contained by addition, pick something that you find stimulating.
For me, I find computers and math both interesting and challenging since in attendance is so much to learn and the subjects are so thoughtful.
In college I was competent to select a dual major next to no minor majoring in both subjects. It be a huge amount of work but it was greatly rewarding.

if you know what really grab your interest follow that ... do what makes you want to do more ... you'll other succeed if you have a desire for the subject.
simply bring the best course available, in your eyes to be precise..
choose a course that you are interested in and a course that you know will sustain for more than another 50 years..
conceivably you cuold just run around helping peopple with their solid problems and eventually something unexpected will seize your attention and you will say "THIS is what I want to do." Then you'll know.
