Why is the wall of the gone ventricle thicker than that of the right venticle?
Answer:
Ventricular Septum. The greater portion of it is thick and muscular and constitutes the muscular ventricular septum, but its upper and posterior slice, which separates the aortic vestibule from the lower part of the right atrium and upper division of the right ventricle, is thin and fibrous, and is term the membranous ventricular septum. An abnormal communication may exist between the ventricles at this module owing to defective development of the membranous septum.
The departed ventricle contracts to pump blood throughout the body. The right only have to have ample power to pump the blood to the lungs from the heart. Thus the reason the muscle have to be thicker/stronger on the left.
The departed ventricle pumps blood to the entire body. The right only have to pump to the lungs.
Its all get to do with vascular resistance. The ventricles pssively receive blood from their corresponding atria, after have to overcome the blood flow and pressure to where on earth they pump the blood to. The right ventricle, needs to overcome the resistance of blood through the pulmonary circulatio, while the eft ventricle requirements to overcome systemic blood pressure and peripheral vascular resistance.
In comparison, the gone indeed has more work to do and thus adapt by having more smooth muscle bulk. This is like peas in a pod reason why uncontrolled hypertension will result in left ventricular hypertrophy within time.
Cheers!
The left ventricle pumps against a much highly developed resistance than the right - your right ventricle usually generates a systolic pressure of around 40 mmHg and the right generates a pressure of 120 mmHg or so. So their is more muscle tissue of the disappeared because it works harder.
To put it simply, the muscles that work harder will become thicker, just resembling your arm muscles if you were to heave weights.
The left ventricle pumps blood to the unbroken system while the right pumps to the lungs only. The resistance is greater in consequence putting a heavier workload on the left ventricle main to hypertrophy of the muscles.
Hope this helps :)
the disappeared ventricle as well as the mitral tap carry most of the pressure to pump it into the system.
