First of adjectives, different people own different interests. Right now, forensic pathology is getting rather a run on the TV shows. Using television as a guide, at hand have be series about various different specialties. Alas, as yet I own been incompetent to sell my pilot to the big producers in the order of a proctologist who is kidnapped by aliens from Tralfamadore.
My troubles aside, hold on to an open mind, and congratulations on a most enviable GPA. You will win a better idea of what type of prescription appeals to you as you rotate through the specialties in your third and fourth year within medical school.
It is unequivocally okay. You don't really need to know what you want your specialty to be until you're in the middle through med school. Awesome hypothesis for a specialty--pediatric neurology is fascinating, and neurology pays upright money, too.
sure..it's better to decide after you affiliate med school. that course, you can make a more informed decree rather than jump to conclusions with set information.
You are fine not knowing exactly what you want to do. At least you hold a direction. Check out the movie "Something the Lord Made" if you haven't seen it. Very inspiring.
those are awfully nice jobs which income alot, and i don't know much about medication, but i think the most intresting undertaking in prescription is being a p.a. because, p.a.'s catch trained in alot of diffrent field of medicine, and can move to any other corral as they wish. they're immensely smart also, but don't make as much as heart surgens and stuff. but, if you're a p.a. you can move from radiology to cancer at any time you longing. let's say you're working within radiology. you won't just know things just about radiology, but you'll know things about other field too. as i said, i don't know much about prescription as i am going into law, but i know p.a.'s can do adjectives kinds of stuff. pious luck choosing !
It really depends on the individual. I know pathologists who think it is the most facinating piece on earth because they win to figure out what really kill someone and see where diagnoses go wrong. But they never deal next to patients directly and that would be real boring to someone else. Some society like to solve mysteries, approaching neurologists. Other's like to solve things efficiently by cutting something out, similar to a surgeon.

I work with like mad of medical students and residents and I'd say that most don't really bring in up their minds what specialty they want to pursue until their third year when they are in the clinics see what doctors really do.
Except for sugeons - they seem to be to know from the start. No indecision on their part or they'll never be permitted into the fraternity.
Orthopedics.
Man, they get to saw, and break bones, and sort, and the skeletal system is fun!
Watch a documentary on Orthopedics. It's not a tender physician practice. It's more like a sport.
You're better rotten NOT having any pre-determined thinking, and keeping your mind open to anything. You don't hold to make a judgment on a specialty until you're in your final year of medical school, applying for residency positions.
Keep your eyes and ears approachable during your clinical rotations, and you never know what might grab your interest.
Being a heart surgeon may seem to be exciting, but it's the same operation every single daylight, and people die. Some bring a charge out of that, but it's high stress. Pediatric neurology is an entirely different entity, and would attract someone quite different than the heart surgeon self-esteem.
Once you get onto the ward, you'll figure out where on earth you belong. Specialties seem to attract trustworthy types of people. You'll appreciate once you're in the middle of it. When you find "your" culture, you'll know where you belong specialty-wise.
Don't forget to hold fun in college while you're maintain that GPA!
