What type of Surgerys do General Surgeons Do?
Answer:
General sugeons do pretty much anything in the tummy or pertaining to the bowels, breast surgery, excision of lumps and bumps (like lipomas), biopsies, thyroid surgery, placement of central venous access ports or vena cava filter, varicose vein stripping, PD catheter placement, carpal tunnel surgery, hernia repairs...
I enjoy worked with standard surgeons who do hysterectomies, tonsillectomies, and hip pinnings (though I'd not recommend the last one be done by a broad surgeon)
Due to the specialization of medicine, General Surgeons are presently limited to breasts and tummy.
General surgeons usually take fastidiousness of diseases of breasts such as breast cancer and breast masses. They also clutch care of the usual gallbladder, stomach, intestine, colon, and appendix. They also back take strictness of procedures such as placement of central lines and catheters, occasionally put within chest tubes, removal of skin masses/abscesses, and sometimes assist with other surgeries such as lung or gyn or other surgical specialties.
