Avoid triggers or find the triggers for the party effected.

caffeine , Chocolate and such.

Seems you enjoy the meds down.
Migraleve - works for me ...
I get a bit serious migraines every once in a while, so serious sometimes that I throw up. Some of the tricks I use that ALWAYS get hold of rid of mine are to sit in a darkened room, get a cold rime pack and put it on your head for in the order of 1-2 minutes at a time, take Excedrin Migraine (works greatly well...), and weirdly satisfactory drink some gatorade as this gives almost instant nouns for some odd point.
I have these every couple of months. The bedside light doesn't affect me though, and it hurts more when I lay down. There is nothing really that triggers mine, but if I rob two Nurofen Plus, that normally reduce it to a slight headache. If it's really bad, I will pilfer a Migraleve, but despite being an anti-nausea drug, it always invokes my sickness.

Having said that, once I enjoy been sick, the pressure on my come first (and therefore my headache) lessen dramatically.

Hope this helps.
If you enjoy recurrent migraines, some drugs used for prophylaxis are anticonvulsants approaching valproic acid and Topamax. For a current migraine, meds resembling Imitrex are used. These are for the acute pain. All these are prescription meds, so you'll necessitate to go to a doctor. Usually these meds are given to those who does not respond to over-the-counter meds like ibuprofen or naproxen. I suffer from migraines: I jump blind when I have it, I get the impression like freezing and burning at equal time and I cannot eat. Usually I try to avoid the insubstantial, the sounds and try to sleep. It is wise to pocket something for nausea so you don't throw up the meds.
I've tried quite a few, proprananol, Zomig, Imitrex, Toradol, Maxalt, and next the ones that have worked:

Topomax, Relpax, and Fiornal.

I pocket all three of them. The Topomax as preventative (before bed), the Replax solely when I feel a big one coming on (these are individual for the real "ones" - as I lone get 10 pills a month of this medication - IT REALLY WORKS - EVEN IF I ALREADY HAVE THE HEADACHE!), and the Fiornal, as a intervallic preventative, whenever I feel a slight headache coming on.

Before these drugs the solely thing that worked for me be aspirin, which worked great - the only problem be that after 20 year of taking it it ate a hole in my duodenum that I didn't even know around until I had lost almost 1/2 my blood and it almost kill me! After the aspirin, the headaches be unbearable, and I didn't even realize that I be a migraine sufferer until then.
Drink Jamaican Style Ginger Tea and hold a long sleep
Feverfew is a bitter herb used for prevention of headaches, but is impressive if taken for a longer time.Vitamin B2 and Coenzyme Q10 are natural supplements used for migraine treatment. More information is available at http://www.ache.in/headache.html...
