Answer:
I once drank so much vodka, that I spoke within Russian ... or was it double dutch?
Sounds resembling a very spy piece to do. I'd believe it.
Possible, I know someone who ate sooo many carrot that they became red tinted.
Interesting. Do you know the recipe? You could make a fortune marketing it as a tanning substitute.
I would not conjecture so. The color in walnut shells is probably tannin. If it be true then someone would go it. Everyone with pallid skin wants to return with darker.
You can create a brown dye out of walnut shells or leaves. It can make your skin greatly brown when you apply it externally and is used as hair dye, but it doesn't coppers the color of your skin when you drink it.
I think the story be made up.
I dunno, but being from the south, I do know that if you purloin a burlap sack and fill it beside walnuts, take it to the creek and stomp on the case while it is underwater, it will kill adjectives of the fish in that nouns.
This is something I would research in depth until that time trying.

If he was anything approaching James Bond, his lovers can confirm it much better ;) . I would assume the he used some cream on the exposed parts of his body rather than taking such probability:D
BTW someone told me when I was a kid that if I ate apples, my cheeks would receive a reddish tinge. It be a way to convince me to devour them as I hated them. Perhaps. :D
It's true.
Details: Rudyard Kipling's "Kim".
WARNING: What make the skin darker is the cianide contained contained by the walnuts: It is toxic, lethal within fact.
DON'T EVEN DREAM OF DOING IT!
