Need help on pharmacology?

i am very bad in meds classification...can someone tell me some way how to categorize medications...just say for example. meds end in -illins are antibiotic, lol for hypertensive...can you guys give me more tips...thanks for your kindness...

Answer:
Hahaha! I do that too...here are some others than I can recall off the top of my head:

cardiovascular:
like you said: -lol's = Beta blockers
-'satan = ACE inhibitors
-'pril = ARBs
-'dipine = Calcium Channel Blockers's (the non-rate limiting kind)
dig'- = cardiac glycoside (eg. digoxin digitalis etc.)
-'parins = heparin anticoagulant
-'plase = thrombolytics

-obvious ones like 'statin = statins, 'nitro' or nitrate somewhere = nitrates

Oral antidiabetics
-'glitazone = thiazolidindiones (sp?!)
-'ide (eg. amide, zide) = sulphylureas

bronchiodilators:
-'terol = b2 agonists
-'lukast = leukotriene antagonists

GIT
-'tidine = H2 antags
-prazole = PPI's

others:
-'one = steroids
-'pam/'lam = benzodiazepines (sedative,anticonvulsants etc)

I think it's harder to classify the neurodrugs because so many cross uses eg. carbmazepine is a anti-epileptic but can be used for neuropathic pain etc. et.c so I go by drug classes. Er...hope this helps!
There are thousands of drugs. they are all like individuals. You can not put all mikes together and all Jane's together etc. All medicines are chemicals and all the generic names are the chemical names which are not based on their medical use.
stem Drug class
-alol Combined alpha & beta blockers
-andr- Androgens
-anserin serotonin 5-HT2 receptor antogonist
-arabine antineoplastics
-ase enzymes
-azepam antianxiety agents
-azosin antihypertensives
-caine local anesthetics
-cillin penicillin
-cycline antibiotics
estr- estrogen
-fibrate antihyperlipidemics
-gest- progestins
-mantadine antivirals
-mustine antineoplastics
-olol beta blockers
-olone steroids
-oxacin antibiotics
-pril ace inhibitors
