Has anyone have to overcome closely of need getting into med university?

I had a regular life central into medical school but i have a classmate who was VERY poor and needed some back managing his money when he go his exhibition money.
When I was a resident I help train a med student that had gotten her GED, go to community college for 6 years then applied to medical institution and got contained by. She did not have the best grades but worked so knotty and took such good guardianship of patients on her service that I would choose her for a residency slot over any 4.0 student.

I took the unusual route there myself... Started natural life as a mechanical arrange. Made it all the mode to a Masters of M.E. I went to work for years and come home one day and be so tired of not really helping people contained by a job that wasn't rewarding. I be making great money at the time and saved a hoard. a couple of physician friends of mine pointed me toward medicine. I took a refresher course contained by O-Chem and some Bio-Sciences, and an MCAT prep course at University and took my MCAT a few months later. I applied to nine programs, interviewed at three and be accepted by two. After adjectives of that I end up loving orthopedics, a Mechanical Engineer of the Body. Now looking support on it it was a bit different method to get in that. The adversity be more of me taking the time to realize that I wasn't happy near what I was doing and to find my true fervour. Most any Med Student can give you a story or two of the sleepless night of study, the dedication, hard work, the grind, personal loss, of the intact process of becoming masters of their craft.
