ER doctor?
ex. salary, hours, years of college.
Answer:
Salary - depends on what area of the country. In my nouns there is a big emergency for ER doctors so the salary is within the range of 140,000+ but it vary with your experience and board documents.
Hours - vary, but you can count on 50-60/week as a minimum and, because nation have emergency at any time, you will be working any time. Days, night, weekends or holidays and, depending on your facility, 12 or 24hour shifts. You will also be on phone on certain weekends (meaning that, if they call for help, you hold to come in and help).
School - 4 years for a BS amount then onto your med institution, internship, residency, board testing.... look at give or take a few 8-10 years from start to finish.
ER doctors are also required to keep up other certifications such as Advanced Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and abundant others. An ER doctor may also be a medical director for the local ambulance service. This means that he/she is the one who decide what paramedics and EMT's can do in that nouns and authorizes them to do it. An ER doctor has full responsibility for stabilizing a critical tolerant until they are moved to a specialty care section or into surgery. They deal next to the most critical patients that come into the hospital.
They do a LOT more but this should give you some thought of what they do.
Hope this helps!
